Mesa City Council cancels the Meet and Confer for the police

It’s a sad day for all of our officers, detectives, and sergeants.  Tonight, the Mesa City Council decided at its study session to end the meet and confer election process for police and to not count the votes.  This decision was based on an election rules violation and sustained complaint.  The rules were posted at every district for the benefit of all bargaining unit members.  The Mesa F.O.P. stands behind its pledge of integrity and did not violate any of the election rules.  The Mesa F.O.P. will keep you informed of future developments in the Meet & Confer process and will, in the meantime; continue to protect the rights of Mesa police officers.
